unit 4 :verbs in past tense

             unit 4: i didn't like study of night
                    verbs in past tense
    

david  : did you study  yesterday?
mary:yes i did , i studied  at night  because  the bus  was unfixed , and i arrived at 6:00 to my house
david :i hope pass the exam  because  is very hard and the classmates  refailed it
mary :i studied quite until i didn't  do my other homework .
david :good luck i hope pass with A



    the verbs in past tense may be regulars and irregulars being so its structure  changes
                 regular verbs
note :in past tense  the verbs regulars have  the ending ed

                     irregulars verbs


these verbs don't have a ending common
to do a negation or question we need the auxiliaries didn't or did
The structure for negative sentences in the past simple tense is:
subject+auxiliary verb+not+main verb
didbase
The structure for question sentences in the past simple tense is:
auxiliary verb+subject+main verb
didbase
The auxiliary verb did is not conjugated. It is the same for all persons (I did, you did, he did etc). And the base form and past form do not change

a:            you  leave to the park to run at 6:00?
b:no i didn't . i did          (leave ) to  play soccer but my brother              play because  was hurt
